But it's 2020 now, and it's officially the end of an era: Farmville is shutting down, per a statement on the Zynga support site.

The statement clarifies that the reason for the game shutting down is the discontinuation of Flash support on Facebook after Dec. 31 of this year.

For many, their love of the game died long ago.
