Here Are All The Ways "The Witcher" Season 2 Was Better Than Season 1

    For one: no time jumps!

    While Season 1 of The Witcher was entertaining for a myriad of reasons, it also had its shortcomings.

    Even die-hard fans had their gripes about one of Netflix's most successful shows of all time.

    Mainly: the nonlinear plot structure was confusing, the character-building needed work, and the dialogue could be... Well, it could've been better.

    Fortunately, it appears The Witcher's creators took many of the fans' complaints to heart and used the criticism to improve upon Season 2.

    Here are all the ways that Season 2 of The Witcher was better than Season 1:

    1. No time jumps!

    2. Less "Monster of the Week."

    3. Side characters were developed further.

    4. Ciri and Geralt actually had scenes together.

    5. Ciri has more agency.

    6. Geralt actually speaks instead of grunts.

    7. Triss takes a front seat.

    8. We get to meet Geralt’s “family.”

    While the special effects of Season 1 were actually some of its high points, Season 2 took the bar and raised it. I couldn't stop staring at the CGI character of Nivellen (played by Game of Thrones' Kristofer Hivju) in awe. They truly outdid themselves this time around.
