If You're A Side Sleeper, This Pillow Will Change Your Life

Goodbye, neck pain.

After investing in a new mattress topper, I decided to live a life of total luxury and invest in some brand-spanking-new pillows, too.

I sleep on my left side and have noticed that my right shoulder is constantly in pain — I’m going to assume this is due to my practically prehistoric pillows, which are so flat it feels like I’m sleeping on an unsupportive piece of cardboard.

I've heard that memory foam pillows are better than other types because they offer more support: It's their job to conform to AND cradle your neck like a little baby. So I figured, hey, you're young! You should experiment! Test it out for yourself!

Following some extensive Nancy Drew-style research, I decided to purchase this gel-infused memory foam pillow from Amazon for $25.49.

And I am very, very glad that I did.

This magical square-shaped cloud has helped me wave toodle-oo to morning back pain and neck pain, as well as to overheating throughout the night.

This pillow is the perfect amount of squishy and firm; because I’m a side-sleeper, the cushioning provides just the right amount of support. I’ve been waking up with almost no shoulder or neck pain and — let me tell you! — it is a truly wonderful feeling.

Plus, the pillow has a “warm” side and a “cool” side, which prevents me from feeling overheated on warm nights. (The "cool side" is ventilated, meaning air flows easily throughout the pillow, meaning your head won't be drenched in sweat.) It seriously feels like I’m resting my head on a giant, fluffy cloud. If you’re in the market for a new pillow, do yourself a huge favor and invest in this one. You will not regret it.

My one complaint: Everyone in my house keeps trying to steal it, so I may have to buy another one.
