Finding ways to entertain ourselves while self-isolating during the coronavirus pandemic can be hard, but the Disney-loving Thornock family from Monroe, Utah, came up with an epically awesome way to pass the time.
They recreated Disneyland's legendary Pirates of the Caribbean ride in their own home!
Mom Julie, a registered nurse, posted a video of their recreation to Facebook on Friday night, and it has already been shared over 200,000 times and watched nearly 4 million times!
The whole family took part in the fun — Julie, dad Kirk, and kids Brooke, 20; Brin, 18; Carson, 17; Cannon, 15; and Chloe, 13.
Just like the real ride, the Thornocks' version begins with passengers boarding their boats.
They then "float" past a man in a rocking chair strumming his banjo.
Next comes the big drop! (I'm happy to report no Thornocks were injured on this portion of the ride, lol.)
The Thornocks' ride then takes them through their version of Dead Man's Cove, where the skeletons of long passed pirates still guard their loot and treasure.
Julie told BuzzFeed that, when recreating the ride, "We just went off our memory of the ride and did the best with what we had."
The Thornocks' memory of the ride is probably better than most, as Julie said they try to visit Disneyland once or twice a year and that Pirates of the Caribbean is their favorite ride.
"We only spent about 45 minutes filming and about the same time editing it. My daughter Brin just did it on her phone, nothing fancy," Julie said.
Of course, they HAD to recreate the scene where the imprisoned pirates try to coax the cell keys away from the dog.

And, just like the real ride, it all comes to an end with Captain Jack Sparrow singing, "Drink up, me hearties. Yo ho!"
