This is Robert Rodriguez, director of such classics as Sin City, From Dusk till Dawn, Planet Terror, and Machete.
He also happens to be the brain behind an iconic '00s childhood series: the Spy Kids franchise.
Well, today we got a look at his most recent film, Alita: Battle Angel, and it looks INTENSE.

James Cameron AND Jon Landau are also involved, so it's destined to be awesome.
Based on Yukito Kishiro’s acclaimed manga series Battle Angel Alita, this film follows the tale of Alita, a truly badass cyborg who has lost all of her memories.
She also has really big eyes (and an even BIGGER heart).
Oh yeah, and she takes absolutely zero crap.
And she puts those skills to good use, becoming a bounty hunter, in hopes that this may help her regain some semblance of her previous life.
