Tap to play GIF Tap to play GIF Valiant Pictures Well this week Reddit user Ramaal2000 asked, "What movie did you start watching and then said, 'Fuck this, I'm not finishing it?'" and the answers were ACCURATE. Tap to play GIF Tap to play GIF Wiseau-FIlms Here are just a few of the films people NOPED the heck out of before they finished: 1. Gigli (2003) Sony Pictures Releasing "I thought it might be, like, comically bad. No, it’s just the moldy cardboard of movies. I made it through about 35 minutes before I realized that I was actively thinking about other things and tuning it out, so I turned it off."—TheBrownCouchOfJoy 2. Cats (2019) Universal Pictures "I lasted 30 minutes and then I immediately left the theater. The human faces on roaches creeped me the hell out."—Bonanza86 3. Going Overboard (1989) Trimark Pictures "It was Adam Sandler's first movie and it's amazing to me that this film didn't end his career before it even started."—Yoguls 4. Scary Movie 5 (2013) Dimension Films "Years back, I used to love those no-effort parody movies like Epic Movie, Scary Movie, Superhero Movie, Meet the Spartans, etc. That is, until I watched this one. When it came out, I couldn't see it immediately, so I had forgotten about it and rented it years later. While watching it, I realized none of the jokes were funny anymore because they all relied on referencing and parodying horror movies that were popular the moment the film came out, and were no longer relevant. It was a slog and I turned it off halfway through."—Quitthesht 5. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008) Universal Pictures "I loved the first two Mummy movies and Brendan Fraser is awesome, but my god, that was a hot pile of garbage and the only movie I ever walked out of in a theater."—nalhutta 6. Fifty Shades of Grey (2015) Universal Pictures "I was out as soon as she walked into Christian's office and tripped over NOTHING because, you know, she's just so quirky and clumsy."—psychocookie81 7. Inside (2007) La Fabrique de Films "It's a French slasher film about this woman who wants to steal a pregnant widow's fetus. I've watched so many gorefest movies, but for some reason this one took it to the next level for me, and I couldn't handle it. I got quite close to the end, but I just couldn't finish it."—cacncab 8. Downsizing (2017) Paramount Pictures "I was hoping for a feel-good goofy movie. I saw this while browsing on Hulu. After reading the description, I assumed it’d be something like Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. It was nothing like Honey, I Shrunk the Kids."—sourdaughter 9. Robin Hood (2018) Lionsgate "The bad guys have machine gun crossbows...it's bizarre."—StAUG1211 10. Mean Girls 2 (2011) Paramount Famous "I started it but never finished it because it was awful. I went to a Mean Girls bar trivia night once and, at one point, the host asked a question and everyone in the crowd stared at each other, confused. The question referenced characters we all didn't know. The host then clarified, 'This question comes from the sequel!' The entire bar booed incredibly loudly."—jaysracing 11. The Emoji Movie (2017) Sony Pictures Releasing "It was almost just a parody of every CGI kids movie."—AEW_SuperFan 12. Replicas (2018) Entertainment Studios Motion Pictures "I never stop movies halfway through, but yesterday evening I decided to try watching this one on Amazon Prime. It has Keanu Reeves in it, so it couldn't be that bad, right? I shut it off in the first 20 minutes."—SupaSupaCake 13. Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief (2010) 1492 Pictures "I'm a huge fan of the books, but I couldn’t make it half an hour into the movie. I literally walked out of the theater."—ChevyInBoots 14. Noah (2014) Paramount Pictures "The one with Russell Crowe. I gave it about 10 minutes, then me and my wife looked at each other. It might get better later in the film, but I'm 40ish and only have a few decades left, and don't want to risk wasting the hours required to try and watch this again."—PortalAmnesiac 15. X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019) 20th Century Fox "I couldn't get past the 10-minute mark."—ebino98 16. Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) EuropaCorp Distribution "I love Luc Besson's visual style and the concept sounded great, but the awful writing, the clichéd dialogue, and all of the main actors delivering their lines like they were dead inside with zero chemistry was too much. I was watching it with a couple of friends and we usually just soldier through bad movies, but after an hour of cringe, we were all like, 'So...should we just stop it?' and all agreed not to waste any more time."—ProneBit 17. How It Ends (2018) Netflix "The one that's on Netflix. It was truly terrible. I tried to watch it to the end, but I couldn't do it."—coin_dealer 18. Battlefield Earth (2000) Warner Bros. Pictures "This is an older one, but I went to see it at the theater when it came out, and lasted about 30 minutes. I got up and walked out. It was THAT bad."—BloominBlue 19. And finally, Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016) Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures "I’m normally a huge fan of Tim Burton’s work (and while I know he didn't direct this one whenever he’s involved, his style still gets heavily incorporated). I've legitimately sat down with snacks, fully intent on watching this three separate times now and I just can’t get into it."—drewmana Now it's your turn!
