"It: Chapter 2" Has Its First Trailer And The Clown Is Back In Town

I'm just trying to float the heck outta here.

Hi, hello, happy Thursday. Let's cut right to the chase — The first teaser trailer for It: Chapter 2 is here and it's a WHOLE LOTTA WEIRD:

It's been nearly two full years since It was released — the film went on to become the highest-grossing horror movie of all time, dethroning The Exorcist’s 44-year-long record.

Anyway, the new teaser kicks off with our adult version of Beverly (Jessica Chastain).

Beverly has returned to her childhood home, only to find the creepiest old woman of all time living there and, when they start their small talk, things get all kinds weird all kinds of fast.

When the woman goes to grab the cookies she has in the oven — because she's a creepy old woman and they ALWAYS have cookies in the oven, it's horror movie 101 — Beverly notices a familiar face in a picture on the wall.

Then ALL HELL BREAKS LOSE when it's revealed that the old woman is none other than Mr. No Thanks himself, Pennywise.

After that scene, we get a bunch of random, quick shots of the town of Derry, as well as our main cast.

And we finally get to see some shots of the Losers Club all back together again as full-on adults.

And the teaser does focus on a few of the fellas as well, including James McAvoy as Billy:

    Isaiah Mustafa as Mike:

And, of course, the greatest casting decision ever made — Bill Hader as Richie:

The trailer ends with a little girl walking through the sewers (what, what, WHAT are you doing?!) when she comes face to face with Pennywise, who looks as horrifying as ever.

So yeah, there ya have IT (get it?)! Between this film (which is set to be released Sept. 6, 2019) and the upcoming Joker movie, this Halloween season promises to be the season of the clown and IDK if I'm cool with that.
