We recently asked members of our BuzzFeed Community, "What's your favorite horror movie that it feels like no one else has seen?" and they DID NOT hold back. So, here are just a few of the horror films you should add to your watch list immediately:

2. Suspiria (2018)

"The 1977 original is classic, necessary viewing for any horror fan (you can’t beat Dario Argento’s use of primary color, and the soundtrack by Italian rock group Goblin is iconic), but let's focus on the 2018 reimagining. It's incredible and totally different from the original. Plus — it goes without saying — Tilda Swinton is amazing in THREE SEPARATE ROLES. It's an absolute must for fans of creepy, beautiful horror."

4. Jacob's Ladder (1990)

"I just read through all of the comments and didn't see my favorite on the list! It's a little bit of Stephen King, a little bit Lovecraft, and a whole LOT of disturbing imagery. It still scares me to this day, and I have seen it dozens of times!"

"It's a slow burn, but the ending is absolutely bonkers! It's about two girls stranded in their boarding school over the winter holiday while another mysterious woman desperately tries to get to the school for an unknown reason. The ending left me shook!"

"It's weird, gritty, disgusting, dark, and — often times — hilarious. The effects are low-budget, but amazingly effective. It's the perfect midnight movie."

10. You're Next (2011)

"It takes the home invasion/slasher genre and turns it on its head. An unsettling opening shifts to a slow, quiet first act — then it suddenly jumps into high gear. Family dysfunction at its finest, as well. Enough creepy moments, bloody events, and a seriously unique final girl to satisfy any horror fan. I love this film and have watched it multiple times, and I hope more people will seek it out!"

"Found footage is my favorite type of horror movies, and this is one of my favorites. I feel like, for most horror movies, it’s easy for the viewer to say, 'Don’t do that, you idiot! You’re just asking to get murdered!' but in this movie, there’s literally nothing they can do to escape. It’s so helpless for the characters."

"I actually read about this one in an old BuzzFeed article, and it was so good! I got my friends hooked on it, and we all love it. It’s found footage style, but feels fairly real. It involves a haunted house attraction and the aftermath with a police investigation. For sure a must-see!"

"It's one of the most interesting and unnerving films I've ever seen. Two young killers terrorize a family and at times they even break the fourth wall, implicating you, the viewer, in their crimes. It's meta and satirical, but somehow that makes it even more terrifying. It's hard to watch at times, but worth it."

"It’s about a deaf writer who lives in a house, in the woods, by herself. One night, a killer shows up and she has to figure out how to defend herself without using sound. It keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire movie, and the lead actor is phenomenal!"

24. And finally — Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil (2011)

"I know it's more of a comedy, but it's SO good. It basically spoofs the horror movie standard of kids being stuck in the woods and getting killed off one by one. I really love it! Not a lot of people talk about it, but it's worth a watch!"
