No Rome is a producer from Manila who moved to London to work with The 1975's Matt Healy on production and songwriting. There's a '75-ish pop-melancholy to the melody here, but the overall feeling you get from " [Narcissist](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zO8TIDyreUU)" is like being stuck inside a fizzy soda, too blissful to want it to ever end.

Julia Michaels is a supremely talented pop songwriter, having penned tunes for Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Fifth Harmony, Shawn Mendes, Britney Spears, Justin Bieber and waaaay more. Her solo stuff is so slept-on, though — "[Uh Huh](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5X-8hcTwJ40)" is sharp-edged, with an effortless and irresistible lilting melody, playful production accents, all driven at its heart by a deceptively catchy and simple acoustic guitar and vocal.

What _can't_ Janelle do? The iconoclastic pop star, always zigging when everyone else zags, always using her immense talent to serve a unique and skewed vision of what popular music can be. In the universe of Monáe's leftfield tunes, "[I Like That](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uovntV3ZMDc)" is relatively straightforward — a billowing bop that you'll want to float away on.
