As if that point needed proving, we asked the BuzzFeed Community to share the moment they realized they were better off single, and WHEW. Y'all did not disappoint. Here are a few of the wildest responses:
1. "My ex-husband once left me stranded in a city I wasn’t familiar with until 3 a.m. because he was at the casino."
2. "I was friends with one guy for almost eight years before we decided to start dating, and he still tried to play me. He got engaged to someone else, and I didn’t find out until she called me. He lied about her being a bitter ex that couldn’t accept the relationship was over. His mother told me to my face that he was single or whatever. He finally admitted that they were engaged after I dropped him."
3. "My ex told me I was an 'it'll do girl' that guys only talk to until someone better comes along and that I'd never be anyone's first choice."
