10 Pet Peeves That May Make You Lose It

1. Loud or Noisy Eaters

I have to admit that this is my no. 1 pet peeve. Sometimes, people just can't keep their mouths shut while eating. For some, the sounds of slurping, chomping, and chewing can be beyond disturbing. Let's all pick up some etiquette - eat quietly!

There is one exception though... you are supposed to slurp when you enjoy ramen noodles in Japan. The tastier the ramen, the louder you slurp!

2. Leg Shaking

Have you ever sat next to a constant leg shaker at a movie theater or in a lecture hall where you feel your whole world is shaking and turning upside down? You know what I am talking about.

If you are compulsive to shake your legs, you may have some anxiety issues that you'd want to deal and make peace with. Go figure it out and help yourself.

3. Double, Triple, Centuple Dipping

Double dipping or sharing food from the same plate with people was a big no-no for me when I was little... think about the exchange of saliva and germs... ew.

For me, sharing a cup of coffee may be pleasant when it's with someone I have a thing for... I call it "indirectly kissing"... dumb, I know.

4. TOEssssssssssss!!! a.k.a. Fear of Feet

Luckily, I am not one of these people so I can clip my toe nails without having to panic. I do know some people who are so scared of their feet that they have to wear socks AT ALL TIMES and seeing someone stroll in the Vibrams gives them chills. No kidding. Not sure what Vibrams are? Yup, and there's a scientific name for this as well: Podophobia.

5. Clusters... of everything!

This one actually happens to a lot of people. The scientific name of it is trypophobia. People who have this phobia are irritated by repetitive patterns such as holes, hives, and clusters of small objects.

I can't tell you how much pain I am going through trying to find an image for this pet peeve. Uhhhhhhhhhhhh... GROSS! GOOSE BUMPSSS! YIKESSSSSS!

6. Public Objects

Most of us consider the public space a Petri dish for vibrantly growing germs, especially in regard to the public toilets, door handles/knobs, gas pumps, and elevator buttons.

I have friends who would centuple wrap the public toilet with paper seat covers until it won't flush and cover the gas pump with paper towels before using them. For me? To save the trees, I usually kick slam open the restroom door instead of using paper towels to cover the door handle. Sorry for those who stood behind the door! It must have hurt...

7. My Bed Deserves the Same Sterile Environment of an Operating Room

This may be particularly me. No one touch or get on my bed before taking a shower AND changing into clean pajamas. Weird, I know, but sleeping (in the bed) in the jeans that had contact with the subway seat which a gazillion people had sat on and in the shirt that was exposed to the polluted air in LA traffic just isn't my thing.

I don't care about the couch as much though. (Well, it's hard and pretty awkward to have everyone who visits the house take a shower and change into a clean outfit, isn't it?) The couch therefore is a perfect place for me to knock out when I am too beat to shower.

Anyone with me on this one?!

8. Line Cutters

Whether you are lining up to pay at a Walmart on Black Friday or sitting in the traffic on a Monday morning trying to rush to work... these people always exist - the line cutters.

The line cutters are just like the honey badgers - they don't give a f*ck. They would cut in the line anywhere, anytime, under any circumstances. I hate them as much as you do. You cutters'd better effing get in line!

9. Want to Clip Your Nails? Fine. Not in My House, Though!

I recently had a friend sleep over at my place. Last night, she carefully asked if she could clip her nails and I was like "Uh, sure, why even ask?"

As she knew about my "No-Shower-No-Sleep-in-the-Bed" bedroom rule (refer to pet peeve no. 7 above), she thought I'd be anal about her leaving her finger nails behind because she has friends who hate people clipping nails and letting their DNA traces fly around the room.

So yeah, I guess having someone who clips his or her nails in the house may be some of your guys' pet peeve.

10. DRUNKies. Go Home, You're Drunk.

Last but not least... having to deal with drunkies is a huge pet peeve of many of ours.

Whether it's dealing with those who act like fools; those who lie on the street and start vomiting like there's no tomorrow; those who drunk text; those who are so hammered that they face plant and fall asleep right away (and you are the one to carry him/her home); those who have a verbal diarrhea after a couple shots, etc. etc. etc. Don't they just annoy you?
