Fury After Company Advertises On Facebook For "Good Looking Girl" To Work In Office

    The advert has now been referred to the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

    This advert, posted yesterday on Twitter and Facebook by Cardiff-based Modelling Network, has generated a social media backlash.

    It has now been deleted. The property agent named in the advert, Kingston, told Wales Online it has no links with Modelling Network and did not ask it to advertise the job.

    @stevenchapple @JoStevensLabour @fawcettsociety @cardiffstudents @WomensCSU @nuswales This has no association with us at all.

    Its own advert makes no mention of the employee's appearance.

    Former Labour deputy leader Harriet Harman shared the advert on Twitter and referred it to the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

    This is unlawful under Equality Act. @EHRC are you going to do anything about it? @JoStevensLabour

    Thank you @HarrietHarman for flagging this. We’ll investigate and come back to you.

    Social media users expressed their anger, including the Cardiff Central MP, Jo Sevens.

    @HarrietHarman Not only is the advert unlawful, by asking for a 'good looking girl' it's also blatently sexist. #EverydaySexism

    Shocked by this job advert from one of our local letting agencies #everydaysexism #Cardiff

    @HarrietHarman @JoStevensLabour @EHRC How precise but disgraceful totally unlawful. What were they thinkin? Huhh □■□
