Welcome HBO's newest showrunner/star, Issa Rae.
Rae is most well-known for the beloved series The Misadventures Of Awkward Black Girl, and of course for ABSOLUTELY SLAYING this Essence cover alongside women like other notable creators like Shonda Rhymes and Ava DuVernay.
And HBO has reportedly ordered her new comedy, Insecure, to series.
The series was co-created by Rae and The Nightly Show's Larry Wilmore. According to Deadline, the show will follow the friendship of two black women (played by Rae and Yvonne Orji) through "all of their uncomfortable experiences and racy tribulations."
