So you’re interested in going to see a play or a musical and you’re not a regular theatergoer. I’m going to help you out by giving you a list of 16 rules to take with you when you go see a show. Please abide by all of them. All of them. I compiled this list before this article came out but this is a must-read to accompany the following.

    1. No talking during the show.

    2. NO CELL PHONES/CAMERAS EVER.

    3. Don’t go overboard with the drinks.

    4. No food. Don’t do it.

    5. Unwrap those wrappers before the show or at intermission.

    6. Can’t find that lost tic tac? Don’t dig through your purse to look for it.

    7. Watch the hair tossing.

    8. This show is not performed in your living room. No arm flailing.

    9. Don’t sing along.

    10. Don’t recite the lines.

    11. Hats, hats, hats.
