(RE: BuzzFeed FOOD APPLICATION) Chain Vs. Local : Cupcake Edition
In a world where restaurants are popping up left and right, food is not just a matter of survival; it is a matter of culture. People are exploring more and trying new things. In a recent article by the Zagat guide, people in America eat on average 4.5 meals a week in restaurants (this is excluding breakfast). New food trends emerge every day and leave a mark on the internet before they even leave the kitchen. Honestly, I don’t believe that chain restaurants stand a chance. I am a firm believer that food served in local establishments is better than chain restaurants and cafes. From burgers and pizzas to cakes and pastries, local restaurants compete by serving delicious and quality food compared to chain restaurants. I asked my friends, Hoc and Hayley to join me on my quest to find out if bakery chain cupcakes are better than a local H-Town establishment.
