Promising review: These shoes are a favorite! I ordered the black after having a beet-red color for about a year and a half. They were comfortable right out of the box, the leather is supple, and they look high quality. Very happy with my purchase. These are often compared to the Brixton loafer from a high-end fashion brand." —Christine

Get them from Amazon for $130 (available in sizes 4–13, wide, and five colors).

New Balance

Promising review: "I'm a medical technician and nursing student — on my feet a lot! New Balance has forever been my 'go-to' shoe when I'm in scrubs; 515s have always been my absolute favorite! ... THEN I wore a pair of 327s, and I'm obsessed! I already have two pairs, looking for a third. The comfort is beyond expectations, kinda 'molds' to my feet without feeling constricted, super light, and the sleek design with such fun colors are beautiful! ❤❤❤" —Roselyn

Promising review: "I really love these boots. They are extremely comfortable and there was no breaking in period. I sized up as recommended, and they fit perfectly. I can wear them with an insole and thick socks. If you plan to wear them with just a thin sock, you could probably stick to your usual size. I’ve gone on several hikes since getting these, and they don’t rub at all. I think I’ll end up getting another color because I like them so much. And they look cute!" —Norah

Get it from Alice + Whittles for $198 (available in EU sizes 36–43 and eight colors).

4. Some Mary Jane pumps that may just be one of the coolest pairs of shoes I've ever seen. So you're basically getting two amazing shoes for the price of one.

Promising review: "I've been watching these shoes for a while because it seems size 10 always run out. When I got the alert they restocked, I HAD to jump on it. First, these are definitely the cutest pair of heels that I've ever had on my feet. Just perfect to spice up an outfit for work, a night on the town, or just to wear when you feel like it. Second, I may have paid a pretty penny, but for the quality, the comfort, and the adorable design, it was definitely worth it. They come in the cutest cake box packaging with a set of replacement heel caps (I don't know what they're officially called). And I just get a kick out of the guillotine on the heel. They fit exactly as expected. Don't size up like some reviews say, if you're a standard 10, these will fit like a gem." —Kaybeline

Get them from Amazon for $99.99 (available in whole sizes 5–11 and in nine colors).

6. Ugg slipper shoes perfect for wearing around the house all the time, because your feet deserve to feel like they're in a cozy cloud as you go about your day.

Maitland Quitmeyer / BuzzFeed

BuzzFeed Shopping editor Maitland Quitmeyer says: "First thing that needs to be said is that Uggs are great! They're warm, they're cozy, and you can just slide them on when you're freezing — I won't hear otherwise! They're not exactly high fashion, but they don't *need* to be when it's a straight-up polar vortex outside. So when I saw these Ugg slipper slides with an elastic back, I just had to buy a pair. I don't know what it is about them I find the cutest: the slightly sporty elastic, the Michelin Man–esque plush rolls on top, or the chunky bottoms that give you a little extra height. AND they have all the comfort of a slip-on slide, but without the feeling that your foot is going to fall out any second.

"They have a hard sole, so you can wear them as indoor slippers, half-indoor-half-outdoor take-out-the-trash shoes, or real regular shoes (aka what I'm going to use them for). When it's still warmish out, I'm going to wear them with my toes poking through, but they're also going to be *so* cute with socks (team socks + sandals 'til I die!!!!!). And they're SO SOFT AND COMFY! I'm prepared to live in these all fall. Paired with leggings and a blazer? It's the perfect 'Ugh, I can barely make today happen' work outfit. I honestly want to get another pair in another of the cute colors...or the leopard print. Oh, and just FYI, I ended up sizing down in these!"

Get them from Amazon for $99.95 (available in whole sizes 5–12 and in 43 colors).

7. Cutout mules designed to be a more sophisticated take on a flat that doesn't skimp on the comfort levels. Slip these one whenever you need a classy shoe you can wear for hours on end.

Reviewer wearing the wedge boots with wavy black sole with wide elastic section on either side

I have a similar style of these shoes, and I love them so much. I really do think they're one of the most comfortable pairs of heels that I own. They're great for fall and winter in the rain and snow because they're waterproof and have traction on the soles to keep you from slipping. I've worn them all day long and have even been standing for hours, and I don't want to take them off the second I get home. 10/10 from me.

Promising review: "I’m a big fan of Sorel boots and purchased these exact wedge boots in a different color several years ago. They still look and feel great and are very comfortable so I decided to purchase this second pair in a different color. They’re even prettier than the online picture — great boots!" —Lainee

9. A pair of Rothy flats made out of repurposed water bottles so they're super comfortable right out of the box and won't give you nasty blisters. Plus, they're made to last, so you'll find they look just as good four years down the line.

That's at least what my coworker, Natalie Brown, has told me. She's been wearing hers for more than four years now!

BuzzFeed editor Natalie Brown says: "I've owned and loved my one pair of these since 2017, when a few of us first reviewed 'em. They are by far the pair of shoes I wear most often (my Birks come in close second), precisely because — besides being incredibly comfortable, especially once they form to your feet — they're so easy to wash the moment they start to smell. I usually gently hand wash 'em with a scrub brush in my tub because I live in NYC and don't have access to one in my apartment, but I've washed them in a machine several times back at my parents' place and they hold up really well. TBH mine STILL look as new as they did when I first got them, and FWIW I find I can wear mine for a couple of weeks before they get stinky. I'm wearing them right now! And yes, they're made from 100% PCR plastic water bottles — here's some pictures of the process. Oh, and their boxes and shipping are sustainable, too."

Get them from Rothy's for $125 (available in sizes 5–13 and 14 colors and patterns).

10. Doc Martens combat boots so reliable, you can wear them through rain, sleet, and even snow without compromising your style.

Reviewer wearing the lace-up boots with yellow stitching around the sole

Promising review: "I'm in love. I'm never buying another brand of combat boots again. I'd been hesitant to buy Docs because of the price, but these were absolutely worth it. They have excellent support (comfortable enough to wear for eight-hour shifts on my feet), and they're grippy enough to handle snow, sleet, and New England winters. I tend to wear my shoes to death, but I've been wearing these pretty much daily for four months, and they're holding up well." —R

Get them from Amazon for $145 (available in sizes 5–14 and in six colors).

11. Birdies flats that basically take the best parts of a sneaker (the support), a slipper (the comfort), and a flat (the style) to make one shoe that will quickly become a favorite of yours.

It is so important that I find a pair of comfortable shoes that are also stylish. These are the first pair of flats that I can wear all day and my feet don't hurt when I get home. I love them!" —MARISSA S.

Greats, Abby Kass / BuzzFeed

I should know because the first time I wore these shoes, I walked 16,000 steps in them. Yep, you read that correctly, 16,000 steps and not a single blister and no foot pain at the end of the day. Soon after that day, these shoes became my new go-tos. They have a classic look to them and really do go with everything. I even took them on vacation with me back in January to Paris, and I wore them almost every day. They didn't look like tourist shoes at all, and I never had any pain while wearing them. The price point is a bit steep on them, but for the quality, I really do think they are worth it.

Promising review: "This is my second pair of Greats and like the first pair, I get compliments them all the time, great quality, comfortable. I love that they take a few days to 'break in' the leather, and even the break-in days aren't painful, the leather is just stiffer. model wearing the chunky heel lace-up boots in black and white

When I tell you that I love Sorel shoes, I really and truly mean it. I have a few pairs now, and these are the most recent addition to my collection. I wore them the second I received the package because they were too cute not to. And in the first few hours, I received quite a few compliments on them, even from random strangers in the grocery store. Plus, even though the shoes have a good heel height to them, they are comfortable. I can't wait to wear these more in the coming months.

Promising review: "I love these boots! They are so striking and seem comfortable right out of the box. I was a little worried about the heel height but they are comfortable and easy to walk in around the house anyway. All of my Sorel boots are 8.5, which is a half-size larger than I usually wear. I do like to wear them with thick socks, but I think I would still need to go up anyway. Now for the squeak that others mentioned, mine did squeak a bit when I first started to walk around in them, but I think it's from the new rubber soles on the floor. It wasn't all the time, just here and there. I'm hoping as I actually wear them outside and the bottoms get worn that it will stop? Otherwise, I can't wait to wear these boots because they are stunning!" —Cosmo

Get them from Amazon or Sorel for $180 (available in sizes 5–12 and in three colors).
