Donald Trump Accuses Obama Campaign Of "Reverse Psychology" On Birther Issue

Spars with Wolf Blitzer on CNN over his birther beliefs.

Reality television star and Mitt Romney supporter Donald Trump stood by his "birther" comments in a contentious interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer today.

"His mother was not in the hospital,” Trump said of President Barack Obama.

Trump repeated that he believes Obama was born in Kenya, prompting Blitzer to interject: "Donald, Donald, you’re beginning to sound a little ridiculous."

"No, I think you are Wolf! Let me tell you something, I think you sound ridiculous." Trump responded.

Trump attacked CNN reporter Jim Acosta's segment before he appeared on the show, saying Acosta was parroting Obama campaign talking points, and took several shots at the cable network's ratings woes.

Trump added that he believes the Obama campaign attacks on him are “reverse psychology," designed to keep people from truly investigating the issue.
