He is adorable, and has a beautiful smile. The thing that makes me sad, the kid had no choice. Now, because his parents were unable to accept that he was perfectly healthy, he is going to have head splitting migraines for the rest of his life, and likely grow to resent his parents once he actually joins Deaf Culture. Its sad really. Geez. Just learn ASL people. Let the kid make the decision when they are old enough to understand what is happening.

Omg!! SO SWEET!!

My son received one at 1 year old, about an hour after he signed to go to the bathroom, I took him in and without thinking flushed the toilet. He went into HYSTERICS at the sound of the toilet, you’d have thought he was possessed. He had to wear a hat that covered his ears for a month because normal sounds were too intense

A lot of older people who get cochlear implants are disgusted by the sounds of chewing, or other sounds we’ve grown used to and want to revert to not hearing them. Interesting, huh?
