Mindy Kaling recently Instagrammed this adorable collage with the caption, "Before season one of #themindyproject I wanted the opening credits to be animated."
Here's a look-see of the concept boards that the artist, Henry-John de Leon, created for the show before the premiere of Season 1.
"The process was fun! We got to work with Mindy herself, she was so nice, approachable, and everything you'd want a celebrity to be," said Henry-John de Leon.
"Once we got a character design we all were happy with, we went on to designing her world."
"If there is future interest, I would definitely love to do a Mindy Kaling animated series. Honestly, little girls would eat it up," said Henry-John de Leon.
