      Hello, well I listened to John Peel from 1982 until his death, but am not certain he was a curator (and his late night radio show was a lot more influential than the Whistle Test) . Last year there was an excellent Radio 4 radio show (on the Ropes) that featured Andy Kershaw who was possibly the DJ colleague that JP knew best: He said John Peel loved playing new music even when he knew it was shit. He loved new so much. A contrary trendsetter? Oh yes. Brave? Yes. A curator - not so sure… Perhaps the perfect curator would have John Peel’s curiosity, the taste of a Terence Conran, the nouse of a David Byrne, the wit of a Jarvis Cocker, the stamina of a sherpa, the patience of a giant turtle, and the cash of a Bill Gates (cause I suspect there’s not a lot of wonga in curating…).  Anyways, love your work…
