You don’t have to watch them ALL, they’re just there…I’d take the week off and watch all of TNG, the ultimate marathon.
Josh and Donna? Really? They should never have gotten together in the first place. If you want to talk to me about Josh and AMY…. we can talk.
Response to How “Smash” Became TV’s Biggest Train Wreck:
Spot on article! It confirmed some of whatIsuspected in terms of the writing, which asaplaywright was THE biggest issueIhad with the show.Ishould have loved it, theatre is my passion and profession;Iwaited for this show and was ready to embrace it. But the inconsistent characters; the unbelievable (when existent) plot points; and the disregard for realism with how theatre really works just destroyed all the goodwillIbrought to the show. And yes,Iknow it’s TV and can’t be completely realistic (a Broadway musical can take from 5-8 years from inception to reach the actual Great White Way; TV can’t wait for that) — there are allowancesIgave it, and looked the other way. BUT, there were so many minor things that they COULD have gotten right and didn’t care to that just signaled laziness thatIjust couldn’t take. If you can’t get the small, easy things right, how can you be trusted to get the important things right?Idid end up hate-watching the rest of Season 1, and will not be back for Season 2.
