SamTheEagle is correct, this is a very different thing from the “traditional” bull fight. These bulls are taken well care of before and after the Eruthazhuvuthal. Sure, the chase itself is probably stressful for them, but it rarely does physical harm to the bulls. On the other hand; people are injured and some times killed every year during this event. Don’t misunderstand me, I am absolutely disgusted by animal cruelty especially in the name of sport or tradition, but these bulls have it a hell of a lot better than some people do.
