Well, you’re half right. Since anonymous is a group with no leader or agenda (besides “for the lulz”), it is *very* rare if not unheard of for the entire collective to be behind an operation (the closest I can think of would be the original Habbo raid back in 2009). In that sense, every operation is run by a splinter cell.
This doesn’t look to be a huge operation, but it seems like there aren’t many anons *opposing* it, which is rare for these sorts of things. It’s also true that large ops are mostly a thing of the past. That being said, there’s no real way to know how successful it will be until it’s over.

The name “Anonymous” has been thrown around and used so many times…I doubt this is actually the original Anonymous.

I feel like their message would be taken a lot more seriously if not for the theatrics of the video.

How about Anonymous does something like fundraising for charities instead of breaking the law according to its holier-than-thou “ethics.” If Anonymous is so concerned with banks, governments, and police officers playing by the rules, then they should do the same.

instead of continually trying to get attention from the media, why cant ‘anonymous’ just do something? making these threats really just shows that they want press for it.

My parents almost lost their home because of BofA and CountryWide. Anonymous should push forth effort against the banks. The NYPD is just doing what they are told.
