Tefillin and Phylacteries

A Jewish teenager's tefilin (leather boxes containing passages from the Torah, worn on the head or arm) so alarmed a US Airways flight crew that the plane had to be diverted and land early.

The flight was met by a bomb crew. Tefilin are also known as phylacteries.
