1. my favorite book in 10th grade was probably Dante's Inferno, which reminds me of Ayn Rand for a totally different reason. 2. I guarantee this will flop harder than Sarah Palin's last book. 3. So will we finally find out who digs the ditches in “Galt's Gulch?” I mean, if all the geniuses run off to a valley somewhere, who does all the shit work? It isn't as if the world wouldn't get along fine without them.

Wait, what? Part 1? How many parts are there? What crazy person has enough money to fund a crappy movie like this let alone another?

There's nothing I find more exciting than businessmen arguing about trains. CAN'T WAIT!

I think my favorite book from 10th grade was something more along the lines of Brave New World or The Bluest Eye.

I for one, welcome this trailer. I loved the book and can't wait to see how it translates to the silver screen.

Ayn Rand wrote self-help books for sociopaths and narcissists.

This should make Libertarians even more smug and unbearable.

God, I couldn't even bring myself to like the book. I can't imagine the movie will be much better.

ps - Atlas Shrugged condensed: They peered down a long stretch of road distressingly empty of any sign or billboard. Rearden: “I don’t like the looks of this.” Dags: “I don’t either.” Then she smiled. “But think how often we’ve heard people complain that billboards ruin the appearance of the countryside. Rearden: Well, there’s the unruined countryside for them to admire. They're the people I hate!” And… scene! Saved you some time/$, you're welcome.

The film about a magical CEO who invents a super-efficient motor (they're always doing that) and then decides not to let anyone use it because he hates taxes. Meanwhile, real car companies have NEVER increased the average fuel efficiency of their vehicle fleets EXCEPT when REQUIRED to do it by LAW. Also, this movie makes kittens cry.

Unrecognisable girl. That bloke from Lost / Ugly Betty. That bloke from Dead or Alive. Directed by someone who has put themselves as John Galt.
I can only hope this goes straight-to-DVD.
