This Rugby Player And His Daughter Just Won The Grand Final Of Cuteness

    Cutest grand final ever.

Johnathan Thurston has done a lot in his career: representing Australia 32 times, winning multiple State of Origin series, four Dally M medals and two Golden Boot awards for the best player in the world. But this photo may be the best thing he's done.

It was quite a night for the Cowboys co-captain on Sunday as he attempted to lead his team to its first ever NRL Premiership. For one of the game's greatest ever players, a victory would have sealed his status as one of the game's immortals.

So by the end of the match, with the scores level at 16 - 16, it was up to Thurston to kick the winning goal. He missed.

So for the first time ever the grand final went into Golden Point extra time. And again, it was up to Thurston to kick a field goal to seal victory. He didn't miss this time and people were pretty excited.

So JT finally got to lift the NRL Premiership trophy, but not before winning the Clive Churchill medal for the best player on the ground.

Then JT went over to his family and there were some feelings.

But then as everyone celebrated, Thurston managed to get a quiet moment with his little girl Frankie and it was just the ~cutest~.

So forget all the medals, trophies and golden boots. Johnathan Thurston just won the grand final of cute.

    Correction

Thurston is cuddling with his daughter Frankie. An earlier version of this post incorrectly identified her as his other daughter, Charlie. Both Frankie and Charlie are still very, very cute.
