As you may have heard, since its release on Friday Jurassic World has had the biggest opening weekend in box office history — earning $524m.
The breakout stars of the movie were undoubtedly Pratt's gang of "tame" Velociraptors, particularly their fearless leader, Blue.
Twenty-two years ago, however, it was the T. rex that everyone remembered.
Lovingly referred to as Rexy by those in the know, her tiny arms made her one of the most loved "baddies" of the '90s.
The last time we saw her was in the Jurassic Park visitors centre, moments after she'd taught a couple of Velociraptors a thing or two about respect.
Missing Rexy, we were obviously relieved to find that Jurassic World had its very own T. rex (even if the "big bad" this time round was the mutant Indominus Rex).
Our first glimpse of her comes at feeding time.
But it turns out these similarities shouldn't be surprising, as it's ACTUALLY THE SAME DINOSAUR.
In this excerpt from the new park's official site, it suggests that the T. rex has been on Isla Nublar for 25 years.
The theory goes that Rexy stayed alive by eating the herbivorous dinosaurs that had managed to survive.
So for those of you who thought there was only one returning character in Jurassic World, think again...
