Dead Cat Bounce

A rather macabre stock market trading term that refers to a stock’s sudden rise after a huge drop, without any notable reason. It comes from the phrase “Even a dead cat will bounce when dropped from a great height.”, so you can see why everyone’s all talking about dead cats these days. Cuz, you know, that was a huge drop.
