The light show, uploaded to YouTube on 30 September, was created by Nick Thomas, 60, of Naperville, Illinois, and his neighbour's 25-year-old son Steve Jandick.

The pair have been creating displays like this for the last 15 years.

Jandick told Today that the show was a team effort, with Thomas taking care of the decorations while he sorted the light displays.

Jandick said the show takes 12 months to plan, and this year is running from dusk till 9:30pm during the week and until 10:30pm at the weekends.

Jandick said the show was attracting large crowds and only "one or two complainers".
