His frustrated effort was uploaded to YouTube in March last year and one version has now been watched three quarters of a million times.

However, YouTube commentators and Reddit users were quick to point out our hero may in fact have just been performing a rather enthusiastic version of the original.

Green Day's frontman, Billie Joe Armstrong, also makes a mistake while performing the track, released in 1997.

He can be heard whispering "fuck" after the slip-up at the start of the song.
