So on Sunday, Telegraph features writer Harry Wallop asked Cadbury if the rumours he'd heard about the company no longer making chocolate coins were true.

A short while later Wallop provided an update, saying Cadbury had told him the coins had been discontinued because they were "quite fiddly to produce".
CHOC COIN GATE UPDATE @CadburyUK replies to me: "straightforward commercial reasons why we discontinued - they are quite fiddly to produce"
And immediately everyone was seriously upset.
So @CadburyUK confirms (via @hwallop) that it no longer makes chocolate coins cos too fiddly. Sod it, we might as well cancel Christmas.
