Yeah, if they branded as “TC”, I’d be fine with it. But it’s not TLC.
And I add that I don’t mind people choosing veg*an for moral reason, but please stop waving that “it’s healthier!” flag in front of me.
Sure, compare veg*anism with the Standard American Diet, and it’s better… but ANYTHING is better than the SAD. veg*anism compared to Low Carb High Fat (aka, what your great grandparents ate) doesn’t fare so well though: http://authoritynutrition.com/low-carb-vs-vegan-vegetarian/
As a follower of the low-carb, high-fat lifestyle, many of these meals, minus the artery clogging buns, look pretty good and healthy. Well, other than they’re probably cooked in rancid seed oils, which causes inflammation.
I’m just tired of veg*ans claiming their way of eating is healthier than mine. Sure, healthier than a Standard American Diet (food pyramid, etc). But anything in the world is healthier than that. No evidence in Randomized Clinical Trials that cutting out meat makes you any better… in fact, quite the opposite.
Ditto Madonna, Britney Spears, or Whitney Houston. You aren’t them. You’ll never sing like them. Please don’t pretend.
Uh, as a native Oregonian, I’m offended that you’re saying that DD is finally coming “to the left coast”. They’ve been in Oregon for decades, and last I checked, Oregon is on “the left coast”.
Diets don’t work. What does work is disabling fat storage, by stopping insulin production, by stopping excessive carb intake. Get on a serious low-carb, high-fat diet like your grandparents ate, and your weight will drop effortlessly. I lost 31 pounds in 16 weeks, without being hungry or counting calories. Here’s the starter kit: So, the easiest way to get into low carb high fat (LCHF) is this page: http://www.dietdoctor.com/lchf and watch this movie (Fat Head): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evcNPfZlrZs And a compendium of good info (including links to recipes and more detailed explanations of why it works) is here (although gathered by a lay person, there are lots of doctors studies links): http://www.ketogenic-diet-resource.com For a more technical background about why it works, check out the series of FAQs and blog articles posted by Dr Peter Attia: http://eatingacademy.com/start-here The Reddit “/r/keto” community is very active (if you want a place to get support or questions answered), and has put together a nice FAQ as well: http://www.reddit.com/help/faqs/keto
Me too! Awesome. Although, if I had it today, I’d order it without the bun, because I care about my arteries. (Yes, I’m serious… the most dangerous thing to your heart and arteries and general health in that meal is the *bun*.)
Actually, the airports are lighter on thanksgiving day than any nearby day before or after. That’s why I’m flying today.
Which is why Chris named his daughter “Lola”. :)
