Nine Inch Nails Have A New Song And It's Amazing

"Come Back Haunted" is the first single from Hesitation Marks, which is coming out in September.

Trent Reznor put Nine Inch Nails on hiatus back in 2009 to focus on other projects, like writing Academy Award-winning film scores, recording music with his other band How to Destroy Angels, and being the CFO of Beats By Dre's forthcoming music service.

Despite being a very busy man, he's been secretly working on a new Nine Inch Nails album, and he formally announced its title and release date last night on Twitter.

He also shared the album's first single, "Came Back Haunted."

As you hear below, it sounds like classic NIN – catchy, angsty, and perfectly balanced between heavy rock and synthpop.

Reznor also shared a SoundCloud compilation of every Nine Inch Nails single ever.

Nine Inch Nails are going to take their legendarily intense live show on the road later this year. This would be good news any which way, but it's ever better because the opening acts will be Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Explosions in the Sky.
