Wikipedia Names Your Band
New meme: here's a totally random way to make your new random band's new random album cover. Post one! Go to “Wikipedia.” Hit “random” and the first article you get is the name of your band. Then go to “Random Quotations” and the last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album. Then, go to Flickr and click on “Explore the Last Seven Days” and the third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover. Anyway, you're now looking at my new side project, which will probably sound like Evanescence if they were on 4AD. Update: These are so awesome!!! We seriously love these so much. Please keep 'em coming. Here's a small selection of some of our favorites so far.

I think this is pretty good. The little shop seems to go with the “I keep handy” idea. And Gawler Chain Trail sounds cool tool, with a nice abbreviation to “GCT” available.

A country where everyone lives in fear…

Broken Sword's fourth album, “The Surrounding Air” breaks new ground in the pagan metal genre by replacing their signature “quad-kick” (double-bass, double-pedal) undercurrents with percussion that is reminiscent of the sound of cotton balls dropped from a balcony.

Father Millet Cross's latest opus The Pursuit of Pleasure takes 16 Horsepower's fire-and-brimstone sermons from the mountain up to eleven, sounding almost black metal in approach at times (as if the album cover weren't dreary enough already). Will the hipster set get this? Will they even want to? Only time will tell. Score: 3.5/5. — Allison Goodwright

White man blues. Lots of songs about drinking & hookers.

New age punk combo CUAE have released yet another mediocre album; their pseudo-philosophical album title just proves these once hard rocking boys have grown soft.

Old school hard rock, Kahaluu Bay sounds like a kick in the gut. Once you recover, play it again and find the surprising dream-beauty of the lyrics.

Seems like it would be in the vein of Rise Against. Picture was done by Sonia Masarova (It seemed wrong not to credit her.)
