Beware The Moldy Tampon
A woman accidentally pops a brand new Kotex tampon out of its applicator to find that it’s covered in mold. Yep, it’s totally possible you’ve been putting bread mold in your vag. Have a happy period!
Just think: had she not accidentally popped it out, she would have never noticed the mold. It’s yet another argument to use the less-wasteful applicator-free tampons.
Kotex rep is all NBD and claims mold is totally harmless in your vag.
They respond:
“We understand how distressing it can be to find mold on a product that is used for personal hygiene and apologize for your concern. In instances where it has been found, we conducted tests on the product involved and have found the mold to be a common environmental species that carries no health risk. The vegetative mold is similar in nature to mold on vegetables or in baked goods.”
Then they sent her coupons for more Kotex tampons.
