1. Dubbo, or Dub-Vegas is located in Central-West New South Wales.
2. So it’s far away from Sydney, or any city! How far from Sydney exactly? Around 5 hours.
3. Which means it’s not a part of Western Sydney, despite popular belief.
4. But it is near the place where the term "bogan" comes from, so we have that going for us.
5. Dubbo is a part of Wiradjuri country, which is one of the largest in Australia.
6. It is the Wiradjuri people who named Dubbo, which means “red earth.”
7. Dubbo has a population of around 35,000 people.
8. You can fit the entire population of Dubbo in the MCG over THREE times!
9. When driving into Dubbo you can see the road out of Dubbo!
10. Dubbo has four Subway Restaurants, three of which are all within half a kilometre of each other.
11. There are many things to see and do in Dubbo. Of course, most people flock to the place where you see creatures rolling around in their own filth.
12. And by that we're talking about the Amaroo Hotel.
13. But if that doesn't rock your boat you can go to Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
14. You can even feed the Lions!
15. You can even stay overnight at the zoo!
16. There's quokkas at the zoo too!
17. BUT YOU CAN PET THEM AT DUBBO ZOO!
18. Dubbo is battling though harsh droughts the majority of the time.
19. Or as some might call it, high school.
20. But when it does rain, it pours.

24. We’re the official home of Australia’s BEST meat pie. Winning the competition in 2003, 2005, and 2007.

37. Do you like paying $10 for something that lasts a minute? Well forget Kings Cross, head down to the Dubbo Show and ride one of the completely safe rides they have on offer.
38. We have a gaol in our main street!
39. Eight men were hanged at the gaol when it was open between 1859 and 1966.
40. Our tallest building is 6 stories high! WOW!
41. Roads in and out of Dubbo are haunted by the "Pilliga Princess."
42. Dubbo has one of the best skate parks in the country!
43. Chevrolet badges on Holdens are the norm out here.
44. And by the way no one shares the same name.

46. And the planes that fly here are Dubbo themed!
47. Fun fact: From Sydney, it’s cheaper to fly to Asia than it is to Dubbo.
48. Speaking of the airport, Dubbo is one of the bases for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
49. That amazing view as you fly into town.
50. Dubbo has the largest abattoir in the country! Up to 8,000 sheep can go through it a day!
51. Dubbo is so stranger to celebrities. In 2012 Bow Wow had a concert here.
52. And we’re 75% sure that in 2013 Beyonce may have flown over Dubbo whilst on her Australian tour.
