15 Pictures Of The Huge Mess Left Behind By Occupy Los Angeles
30 TONS OF STUFF had to be cleared out of disbanded Occupy LA camp. Here's what that looked like before sanitation crews cleaned it all out.

Where are the before pictures?
How could they have cleaned up if they were removed forcefully? I don't support them but, jeezus, that makes no sense.
Yep, a huge ugly mess after the cops went in, ripped everything down, tossed all their contents around, then let the press in the photograph “the mess”.
You can lead a bum to occupy, but you can't make him think.
I'd be willing to bet that a vast majority of the occupiers would have loved to be able to return and collect the things that can be reused (still inflated mattresses, tents..) and would have been glad to clean up..HAD THEY BEEN ALLOWED TO.
I was there! occupy LA was so packed with tents and people that there was no room to make a mess so people were always very careful and considerate since all the space was shared. considering it was raided, thats not too bad since practically every square inch of that place was covered with tents. this is how it was when I was there.
Okay… need to just get my moral compass set up… here goes… Spray Painting Buildings = THE ACT OF DEGENERATE SCUMBAGS Pepper-Spraying Peaceful Protestors = Totally fine. Causing over $1 million worth of damage = THE ACT OF DEGENERATE SCUMBAGS Causing crippling global recession that runs into trillions of dollars and then continuing to pay yourself a gigantic bonus = Totally fine. Protesting the wealth imbalance in society and calling for regulation in order to prevent recessions such as the current one from happening again = THE ACT OF DEGENERATE SCUMBAGS Carrying on like everything's totally fine = Totally fine. Yeah, I can see why it's so hard to pick sides on this issue. STOP TRYING TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN YA DAMN HIPPIES
good. since when are protests about being nice?
Being disrespectful is detrimental to the movement.
HEY EVERYONE! LOOK OVER HERE at this huge mess left by a bunch of lefty protestors! Aren't they a bunch of scumbags, right? Wait, no, don't turn around and look at the latest news report that the government and the big banks deceived the public about their $7 trillion secret loan program. Stick with the important issue, these jobless-dirty neohippies that are making a mess in a park.
If you blame this on the cops, you are f-ing insane. “The LAPD made this mess.” What? What?! Lol!
And 99% percent of the 30 tons of shit here will occupy the landfills, just what we need SMH.
Actually, this mess was created by LAPD when they stormed into the park, trashing the place and slashing people's tents with razor blades. Prior to that, the place was actually in decent order and kept clean by many occupiers. These images help distort the real truth and add to the false narrative that Mayor V and Cheif Beck have successfully manufactured in order to breed contempt for this movement in Los Angeles. I could show you plenty of my own photos that prove Solidarity Park was not a mess before the raid occurred. Again, this mess you see in these photos was caused by LAPD.
Giving my mother just one more reason to hate the Occupy movement.
I am super tired of celebrities who are sympatico with OWS and tweet incessantly about it but just couldn't find their way to protest with or get arrested with OWSers. I am thinking of you @wilw. I gotta give people some credit for getting arrested for the strength of their convictions but people who espouse such convictions but can't be bothered to be troubled by them are just hypocrites.
I guarantee you that if you paid these shitheads $10 an hour to clean up after themselves, most wouldn't show up. You're not special, you'll never be a celebrity or rich, deal with it. The world needs ditch diggers and janitors.
I love how there's still people defending this.
I'm sure they would have cleaned up if they hadn't been kicked out/arrested at midnight.
Occupy Los Angeles did not leave that mess. The cops who kicked them OUT left that mess!
