These people on twitter are stupid, but people commenting that religion is poison are also stupid. These twitter fuckwits would threaten to kill you for badmouthing their favorite movie or Axe Body Spray. We are not talking about an especially intelligent group of people, and if they weren't stupid about religion, they'd be stupid about something else.

Like the late, great Hitchens said; “Religion makes otherwise moral people do disgusting things”. Fuck these people. Their minds are terminally infected with dogma and all the horrible things that come with it. They are a dying breed. There is no place for them in modern society. They know this, so that kind of makes them extra angry. They are already insecure because, subconsciously, they know they are fucked in the head which is part of the reason they try an propagate their delusions; so they don't feel crazy.

I don't tell people to kill themselves whenever they say “God is great”, but look at the nasty crazy that comes out of the woodwork when you say “God is not great”. Read any one of Hitchens' books or watch him debate any religious figure and tell me he doesn't OWN them. I've yet to see a single religious person make a convincing argument for religion when faced by Hitchens.

Seems like the vast majority of these virulent responses are from black people here in the US. Pretty surprising given that, if there is a God, he seems to have made a concerted effort to shit on these people for the last 300 years.
