Response to This Photo Of Kids Lining Up To Get The School Janitor To Sign Their Yearbooks Is Adorable:
I so wish I’d thought as a kid to get my elementary school janitor, his name was Ernie, to sign my yearbook. He was awesome. Friendly and drove this really old car with the front bumper painted so there were alternating triangles of red and white on it. I never knew why. I know he was just a really nice guy. Sometimes that is all it takes, just a friendly smile and a hello.
You have to paraphrase it a bit but it’s been a big part of my life since I re-read Little Women in my early 20s : “If you mean libel, I’d say so, and not talk about labels, as if Papa was a pickle bottle,” advised Jo, laughing. ” (Louisa May Alcott, Little Women, Chapter 1). I’ve always taken it to mean labels don’t belong on people. Especially that it comes from Jo, who just doesn’t fit the ideal young woman of her time and would rather do so-called boys things and be her own person.

It is. I saw the style- having never seen the show, just looking at those two gifs- and, like you, went ‘Definitely John Kricfalusi’. Looked it up to be sure, and yes it is.
