    Ever wonder what it's really like to be a pop star? BuzzFeed Music followed singer Tori Kelly around as she promoted her debut album, Unbreakable Smile, to find out.

    After 10 years in the music industry, she finally released her debut album, Unbreakable Smile, earlier this week. The 22-year-old singer-songwriter struggled to gain traction on competition reality shows before turning to the web, where she built a fanbase around her steely optimism and larger-than-life vocals.

    She signed with Capitol records in 2013 and now, two years later, she’s closing in on a top five debut with an album worthy of her talents. A mix of brassy pop anthems and soulful, R&B-inflected ballads, Unbreakable Smile is a charming ‘90s throwback that will appeal to anyone who misses when divas were defined by their voices.

    On Tuesday, she released her debut album, Unbreakable Smile. It was a big day and BuzzFeed Music accompanied her to a series of interviews and acoustic sets to document what it's really like to be pop star on the rise.
