Thanks to comedian and parody master Tess Paras, you may never look at cheeseburgers the same way again.
In her newest video, Tess explores what catcalling would look like if catcalls were cheeseburgers.
We see Tess going through her normal day, walking past men who hand her unsolicited cheeseburgers.
Tess told BuzzFeed that the video is meant to "challenge the notion that catcalls are compliments that all women should enjoy."
And the visual she and director Rebekka Johnson draw is pretty striking.
Tess also said that "this cheeseburger analogy isn't new," but knew it was something she wanted to explore comedically.
The project "explores how [catcalls] can be disruptions that diminish the value of a woman's place in the world."
🍔 And it raises some interesting questions. 🍔
