In all the long years we've known SpongeBob SquarePants, he's been a shorts kinda guy/sponge.
Through all his many adventures, he's always avoided constricting, full-length pants.
We've seen him rip his shorts, but he's never worn pants.
We've seen him take his shorts off entirely, but still, no pants.
But that all changes today. Over at Entertainment Weekly, we've gotten our first glimpse of him in FULL. LENGTH. PANTS.
Wow.
Yup. Those are definitely pants.
This is pretty emotional.
