Don’t think I’ve ever seen children advertising underwear, aside from babies advertising diapers on tv… Whats the point of this?

Personally, I think it was a stupid and trashy move to have these items modeled on actual girls.  This shows a lack of versatility on behalf of the photographer, who is *clearly* used to photographing only mature women, and poor judgment on behalf of the brand (who obviously just went through their list of photographers and picked one they’ve worked with on adult lingerie before, thinking it wouldn’t make a difference).  A simple spread of the items in question laid out on a bed with pearls would have avoided all this nonsense, would have been just as effective for marketing towards little girls and 10x as classy, while being - dare I say it- more effective advertising as well (it IS the parents that hold the purse strings after all, and these sexy poses are probably not endearing to those with actual children).  As for the underwear in question *itself*, I see nothing wrong with it. There’s no padding, overly sexy cuts (like thongs) or ridiculous “JUICY” slogans across the ass. A little lace is appropriately girly, and if the bras are perhaps a little unnecessary for most girls of that age, it is true that breasts can and do develop quite early these days. And you are never too young to be introduced to the pleasures of wearing something soft and pretty next to your skin and just for *you* to see (which, let’s face it, is exactly how many women view at least part of their underwear collection).

This doesn’t upset me in the least. That black and white “bra” could just as easily be the top half of a girls’ bikini. Plenty of swimwear brands make bikinis for girls in this age range. And the pieces are really not scandalous as far as little girls’ underwear goes. Think of Underoos, which were popular in the 70s and 80s. Some of the tops that came with those (here’s the Batgirl style, which I had as a kid) had a similar amount of coverage. The models here don’t look like someone has tried to make them look overtly adult. Their faces aren’t excessively painted, the poses look mostly like kids playing dress-up and having fun. The young teenager modeling the training bra is similar to plenty of ads and catalog pages I’ve seen over the years. The hairstyles aren’t to my taste, but they aren’t “sexy” tousled ones. Tempest in a teapot, as far as I’m concerned.

Newsflash: 4-year-olds don’t need bras. Also, I agree with another poster who said it’s not so much the underwear, it’s taking pictures of children posing in underwear that’s the problem here.

The pictures are the only thing that really worry me.

This shows how desensitised the world is. It may just be underwear, but those little girls are posing like grown women and I think it is wrong. And we have heard so many cases of sexual predators and this just gives them more motivation

While I’ve never understood wearing training bras well before they are needed, taking a second look at these pictures they just look like normal children’s undies with more mature and simple patterns printed on them.  I guess I find this weird because I don’t think I’ve actually ever seen children’s underwear advertised. Its weird, and I think the choice of poses is weird too.

The panties and training bras aren’t bad or lewd. It’s not what they are wearing it’s how they are wearing it.

I do not understand why anyone is getting hyped up about this. Young girls have to wear underwear too, ya know! When I was young I would have loved wear any of those panties, they look cute! Limited Too sold some with rhinestones on them. Ooh, sexy. -_- I also would have loved to have that cool striped bra as my first training bra. This stuff is NOT lingerie. It’s underwear. Get over it.

It’s not really lingerie, it looks like normal girls underwear to me, I don’t see any shelf bras,anything see through, thongs, even that much lace, whats the big deal. If anything the people making a big deal of this are the ones that are over sexuallizing something that is innocent.
