Come By Chance is a NSW town with a population of about 180. It was named when two men were surprised that they could purchase a sheep station in the area.

Though there are a few Borings in the US, there are none here in Australia.

Fake!

Believe it or not, Nowhere Else is an area in Tasmania.

Blue Ball is a town in Ireland, not Australia.

Though there is a place in Queensland called Yorkey's Knob, Knob's End is completely fictional.

This Queensland town is named after a bullock who would help stockmen herd cattle in the 1860s.

Useless Loop, in WA, was originally named Useless Harbour by French explorer Henri-Louis de Saulces de Freycinet.

Seventeen Seventy is a Queensland town built on the site of James Cook's second landing in 1770.

Monkey Mia is in the WA Heritage Site, Shark Bay.

Also called Mount Disappointment, it is in Victoria. It was named when explorers climbed the hill in the early 1800s, hoping for a great view of Port Philip Bay, but their view was obstructed by trees.

Though there is a town called Dead Horse in Alaska, there is no Dead Brumby in Australia.

This area in NSW was named after William Bland (a convict who became a politician).

Amphitheatre is a small town of about 300 in Victoria.

Eh, we don't blame you. Some of these are pretty ridiculous.

Well... you did alright. We're not totally impressed though.
