In the video captured by a fan, you can hear him say, "Hang on, hang on, hang on. Hey, hey homie. You don't hit a woman. You just pushed a woman out of the way to get in a fight, you dick! Get him the hell out of here. You don't hit a woman, dude."

He then asked security to switch on the venue lights, and escort the man outside.

MAJOR respect for Brad/3 Doors Down! Stopped the show and kicked out male fan in the crowd who punched a woman. Respect!

A snippet of the video was uploaded by a fan to her personal Instagram account. The band's guitarist, Chris Henderson, saw it and reached out her for the full video, which he then uploaded to YouTube.

In an interview with Time, Henderson said it was a "pretty insulting incident".
