What Does Your Teenage Hairstyle Say About You?

You still get nostalgic when you hear the opening G note from “Welcome to the Black Parade”, and even as an adult you still gravitate towards black skinny jeans whenever you go clothes shopping. Your teenage bedroom was plastered in band posters and deep down you think music now doesn’t compare to the music from your teenage years.

You’ll always have a soft spot for MCR and black skinny jeans

You spent years growing out your layers and back then you were really into colourful Converse as a teenager, probably watched a lot of Skins and went to Reading and Leeds pretty much every year. You definitely flirted with the idea of becoming a DJ at some point and you’re still very fond of Noel Fielding.

You were very ~suave~ as a teenager and probably took a lot of inspiration from Andy in The Devil Wears Prada. Your style now is probably quite classic and timeless, and you like to have nice things. You know the nicest places to go out for dinner or drinks and everyone you know is pretty in awe of how much you seem to have your shit together.

You were sophisticated then and you’re sophisticated now

You’re glad that nobody uses Myspace anymore because somewhere out there, there are mirror selfies of with a Hello Kitty t-shirt, back when you went under the name “xxxH4nn4h\_H0rr0r<3xxx”. You still like dyeing your hair and experimenting with different looks and your style now is still probably quite unique, but the backcombing brush has been put away.

You’re an ex scene kid who still has a unique sense of style

You didn’t go through any big embarrassing teenage phases, which you’re grateful for now. You probably stuck to what you liked and as an adult don’t really buy into trends you see on Instagram. You don’t fit one particular style and people are probably quite surprised by how eclectic your tastes are.

You managed to avoid embarrassing teenage phases

You wore chinos and boat shoes before it was really a thing, and you definitely went on a holiday with your mates after you finished your exams. You didn’t have any odd or niche interests as a teen but you probably had a large group of mates at school and joined loads of societies if you went to uni, including a few sports ones.

You were probably pretty popular at school and were part of a massive group of mates

As a teenager you gave absolutely zero fucks. You still have a streak of individuality and probably went on to make a living doing something you enjoy. You’re still interested in a lot of the things you liked as a teenager, whether that’s music and art, and you dedicate a lot of time to your hobbies.

You were an individual as a teenager and are dedicated to your hobbies and passions

You were probably one of the neatest people at school and revised for exams well in advance. Nowadays you’re still reliable and organised, and are probably good at making everything as nice as organised as pretty much anything on Pinterest. Your friends can count on you to get them the most thoughtful gifts and you have probably given things like meal prepping a go.

You’ve always been neat, organised and reliable and your house is probably Pinterest-worthy

You were probably really into the O.C and frequented Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch pretty often. You likely were quite sophisticated for a teenager and went to house parties instead of getting pissed in the park. You probably did a gap year before starting uni and went travelling, and still try and find the time to do that now.

You didn’t define yourself by anything during your teenage years and kept yourself to yourself, quietly pursuing your own interests. You were probably caught onto anything to do with social media much quicker than your peers. You had a small circle of good friends at school and you are probably still mates with some of them now.

You definitely owned at least one thing with an anarchy symbol on it and defaced the odd table with some compass carvings. Your teenage years of smudged eyeliner mean you’re not very good at a smokey eye, and you have held onto a lof of your clothes from back then, because you know that DM’s and leather jackets aren’t ever going out of style.

You went for an edgy look then and it’s never gone out of style for you

You worked really hard at school, but still found time to be popular too. You’re style was always classic and hasn’t drastically changed since you were at school. You’re timid about trying new things and mostly went along with your peers, but when you’re really passionate about something nothing gets in your way.

You haven't changed that much since school and are still in touch with your old school mates

You were pretty fun and creative at school, and took part in things relating to the more artsy subjects. You prioritise your interests and passions and you like to showcase your personality in everything you do. You probably have a job relating to one of your interests and your social media has a lot of really nice #ootd posts.

You were creative and nowadays your interests from back then are a huge part of your life

You have a strong sense of style and individuality as you did back then. You’ve never had trouble making friends and have always seemed to fit in quite well from the outside, even if you didn’t feel quite so secure on the inside. You don’t look back at your youth and wonder what you were thinking and your proud that your decisions made you the person you are today.

You found it easy to get along with people, and made some pretty good decisions

You weren’t in the super popular group at school, but that doesn’t bother you AT ALL now. You’ve always carved your own path and not worried too much about what’s fashionable at the time. When all your friends we’re obsessed with the latest winner of the _X Factor_ you were all about listening to what your parents would have listened to at your age.

You went your own way and your tastes have always been a bit different to your peers
