To all those talking about over generalizations - this is how she experiences the world. This is based (I assume) on what she has experienced often enough in real life that she needs to shout about it. She is seizing on an opportunity to educate, commiserate and voice her frustrations in a powerful, emotional and creative way - in a forum that it was defined for. She’s not coming up to your house, knocking at your door, or getting in your face.
It is art - it flows like water - pounds like a waterfall, in fact.
The things I find so messed up? What she says is so basic in terms of seeking respect for who she is that it boggles the mind she has to ask. So if she generalizes with a tagline to grab your attention, who cares? If none of it applies to you but straight allies, be proud. If you realize you are part of her problem, try and correct it. The important part is not that she generalized. The important part is she got you to listen.
