If You Need Beauty Products Made Of Cowdung And Cow Pee, Look No Further

Dear skin, ur-ine for a treat.

Indian right-wing Hindu organisation "Vishva Hindu Parishad" has just launched their line of beauty products containing gau mutra (cow urine) and cow dung.

"Ayurveda talks about use of cow dung to prevent pimples. But people are reluctant to use dung, which is why we are making beauty products out of it," VHP leader Venkatesh Abdeo told The Asian Age.

"The use of gau mutra in medicines and beauty products will help farmers and prevent them from selling cows. We even have medicines using various compositions which are useful for cancer, heart diseases and other ailments. We make 48 medicines and have taken eight international patents so far. It is just promoting Ayurveda in different form," he added.

Here is a list of the obviously fragrant beauty products the line has to offer:

Showergel alternative: Snannadi Vilayan bathing liquid, made of gau mutra arka and hau maya bhasma.

Toothpaste alternative: Lal Dant Manjan, made of pudina flower, babool chhal (cow dung ash).

Laxative alternative: Harde Churna, made of cow urine-soaked harde.

Soap alternative: Nandini beauty soap: where the power of cow urine is combined with the soothing properties of aloe vera, and the conditioning elements of almond oil.

And facial products: Nandini skin cream: (gau mutra rasa, gau maya rasa, yellow beeswax); Nandini dhoop sticks: (cow dung, and various herbs).

Hey, man. To each his own, right?
