Someone Bought The Groupon Wedding Dress
The deal is ON!
Groupon’s offering a slew of wedding deals this week (name-changing service for $15, anyone?), but for the first few days, no one had splurged on the most essential item: the “custom-fitted” $174 wedding dress from a place called Memorial Wedding, which notably offers gowns at David’s Bridal prices, and will make a Barbie version of you in your wedding dress for an additional charge.
Would anyone buy a wedding dress on Groupon? I wondered, refreshing the page frequently in search of an update. Today, my question has been answered with a resounding yes. “1 bought. The deal is on!”

Davine S. a year agoI don’t get why people are bitching about this being featured on a website that features a huge variety of content and gets updated every five minutes. Which, by the way, is FREE. This post is about technology, progress, the internet, a successful money-saving website, consumerism and culture. How is that not “buzzworthy”? If you’ve got something better, post it yourself. Otherwise, STFU and get off my lawn.

keithpence a year agoI disagree - this is quite an interesting post (assuming we trust groupon on the one person purchasing the dress). It gives insight into how our society is beginning to work…one in which people are looking for discounts on something like a wedding dress. One thing you shouldn’t get discounts on groupon for - plastic surgery and tattoos.

slystallone a year agoWhy is this worthy of being featured on the homepage of Buzzfeed? Frankly, it shouldn’t even warrant a post. (Unless of course it’s an advertorial piece, in which case you should label it accordingly like the other sponsored posts.) In related news, my dog just ate a dog biscuit. Thrilling, I know.
