And then the mama goose is like, "Baby?"
And it turns out that this particular gosling survived...
The moral of the story here is:
NATURE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR FEAR FOR THE WELL BEING OF FLUFFY LITTLE CREATURES.
3. Hey, do you like crickets? Do you like how they sound in the summertime?
4. As if animals weren't bad enough, here's a terrifying fungus called cordyceps that drives insects to madness before feasting on their flesh.
Hey, what's that there?
5. Oh look, it's a cute baby donkey.
Wait, is that lion covered in blood?
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All humans: "WHY CAN'T ALL THE ANIMALS JUST BE FRIENDS?"
Nature: *continues drenching all of its creations in blood*
6. Humans love caterpillars, because they're friendly and turn into beautiful butterflies!
Wait, wasp...WASP, ARE YOU LAYING YOUR EGGS IN THAT CATERPILLAR?
OH MY GOD THE WASP BABIES HAVE EATEN THE FRIENDLY CATERPILLAR'S INSIDES AND NOW THEY ARE CRAWLING OUT OF ITS SKIN.
7. Oh, no. Ohhh no. It's a seal. It's an adorable seal.
OH, BUT THIS SEAL HAS MADE IT BACK TO SAFETY!

8. ARE YOU FEELING SORRY FOR SEALS NOW? Because maybe you shouldn't, if you claim to care about penguins.
Because here's a seal trying to destroy a penguin that just wanted to go find some lunch after a long time looking after its baby.
The penguin miraculously survives the assault!
But shortly after he just...gives up and dies.
He had a monogamous penguin partner and penguin baby.
9. Still think nature gives a stuff about penguins, or about your pathetic human heart? Then take a look at this shivering baby penguin.
Some grown-up penguins without babies of their own may fight to try and keep it warm...
So then it dies.
